Under its motto of „Fuoco & Fiamme“ the second edition of the Gustofestival is luring top international chefs to Ascona and Locarno during the week from 2 to 7 July 2019.
The pre-opening event will take place on 19 June at the Hotel Casa Berno with a „Fuoco & Fiamme“ (fire and flames) rooftop dinner. Norman Hunziker, top culinary artist, rising young star in the gastronomic world and captain of the Swiss junior national culinary team, will open the gourmet festival that will be marked by a strong and stylish South American flavour for the rest of the week.
Colombian Santiago Macías, with his iLatina restaurant, tops the TripAdvisor classification for the whole of South America, and will be presenting his „Cocina Latinoamericana“ at the Villa Orselina.
Guests will be treated to a live cooking demonstration performed by Peruvian master chef Anthony Vásquez at the open fire pit in the Seven Sea Lounge. Vásquez is Executive Chef at world-famous chef Gastón Acurio‘s two trend-setting restaurants in the megacity of Buenos Aires.
The team of chefs from ISEHG, the Argentinian hospitality and culinary arts training school, will be staging a kitchen party-style evening to show off the merits of „Argentina Gourmet“ cooking at the Romantik Hotel Castello Seeschloss.
